Larry the alligator makes friends is a book about an alligator who is shy and having trouble making friends. Although he wanted to join in and have fun with his friends he would get nervous around other alligators his age. When Larry’s mom noticed this she suggested that he go over and ask the other alligators his age if he could play with them. The first time Larry tried to go make friends, they told him they didn't want to play with him, and that made him really sad. Larry tried again the next day and he made a few new friends. I would recommend this book to the kids because it can help kids build their confidence if they are scared to talk to other kids. I really liked that the book has writing activities at the end to help kids think about what they read. I really think the author did a great job.
